Jodi Dool

Jodi graduated from the University of Alberta in 1999 with a degree in Physical Therapy and brings over two decades of clinical experience to her practice. After working in both Vancouver and Australia, she came to Nelson for a summer locum—and quickly fell in love with the people, the outdoor lifestyle, and the unique community of the West Kootenays. She has called Nelson home ever since.

In 2006, Jodi became a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), allowing her to specialize in upper-body rehabilitation. This advanced certification deepened her expertise in anatomy, biomechanics, and the functional impact of injury and dysfunction affecting the hand, arm, shoulder, and neck.

Committed to ongoing learning, Jodi began studying Neural Mobilization through the Barral Institute in 2010 and continues to study and integrate this work into her clinical approach. In 2017, she added Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS/Dry Needling) to her skill set. Most recently, she has incorporated breathing-based techniques, including conscious and circular breathing and breathing education, to further support healing and empower patients in their recovery.

Severed a tendon? Crushed a finger? You’re in the right place.

Jodi is deeply passionate about physiotherapy. Her approach is thoughtful and individualized, focused on supporting each person’s healing process while creating the optimal conditions for the body to recover in its own unique way.

Outside the clinic, Jodi can often be found puttering in her garden, or hiking and skiing with her husband and three children, making the most of everything the Kootenays have to offer.
